-Customer Reviews and Scores
I found 594 customer reviews at the time of writing and they had awarded the PORTER-CABLE PCFP02003 3.5-Gallon 135 PSI Pancake Compressor
4.5 stars out of a possible 5 on average.
The customer reviews on Amazon are positive overall, but there were a few niggling points raised. One customer said, “I have had this compressor for a while, I don’t use it that often so it hasn’t been over worked. The problem is that the compressor stopped holding pressure. I looked on line and there’s a work around. there’s a cheap piece of plastic in the manifold that breaks. It looks like a nickle piece of plastic with an o ring. There’s no replacement part, Porter-cable only provides the entire manifold for. . $48. It will break, don’t buy it and shame on porter-cable for screwing consumers.
However, no one else seems to have experienced the same difficulties, so perhaps it isn’t a widespread problem. Other customers said,”I was very impressed by how light this unit is compared to my old Delta pancake compressor, which was actually rated to only 120 psi versus this new one’s 135. If it lasts thru 18 years of brad nailing and tire filling like the Delta did, I’ll be even more pleased.
